Since 2023 Mexico has been experiencing severe droughts, this is affecting the production of red jalapenos which are smoked with pecan shells to make chipotles
This year is showing no signs of easing, most that are grown are being sold fresh for quick and easy supply, sadly the chipotle chilli may have an issue for the next few years
For now we are searching, can find lots of non pecan smoked jalapeno stock but nothing proper, if we find good proper stocks will be on sale again
