The multiple flavours though probably explains why we have so many names and confusions for this wonderful seed - Ajwain, ajowan Trachyspermum ammi, also known as Ajowan caraway, bishop's weed or carom is no different from lovage seeds - all the same seed just with names that have been translated over the years from different cultures creating confusion
