Sweet Bell Pepper Flakes 9mm
Sweet Bell Pepper Flakes are dried red sweet peppers cut to approximately 9mm, providing the flavour, colour and texture of bell pepper in a convenient dried format.
The larger 9mm cut is particularly useful where visible pieces of pepper are required in the finished product. Once hydrated, the flakes soften into substantial pieces rather than disappearing into a sauce, making them well suited to sauces, soups, stews, casseroles, stuffing mixes and prepared foods.
Made from 100% sweet bell pepper with no chilli heat, the flakes provide natural sweetness and red pepper flavour without the storage, preparation and wastage associated with fresh peppers.

Common Uses
Sweet Bell Pepper Flakes 9mm can be added directly to recipes containing sufficient liquid, allowing the flakes to hydrate during cooking.
Alternatively, soak in warm water before use to produce soft pieces of pepper for sauces, marinades, fillings and prepared dishes.
The larger cut works particularly well in soups, stews, casseroles, stuffing mixes, vegetable blends and sauces where visible pieces of red pepper and additional body are required.
The hydrated flakes can also be blended into sauces where sweet pepper flavour is required without using fresh peppers.

The peppers are destemmed during processing, although occasional pieces of stalk, pepper top or seed may remain.
Storage
